LONG Weekly Announcements!

There's a lot of info on this e-mail, make sure to read to the end and mark your calendars!

Engineering Jeopardy

There will be an Engineering Jeopardy event hosted by AIChE! We will be sending a group to compete against other clubs, so stop by to lend us your support! Being in the audience also gives you a chance to participate and win some prizes! It will be hosted on Tuesday May 11 from 6-8PM, and will be held in Engineering V 2101.

Mini Project/Workshop

There will be a PCB Prototyping Tutorial with EAGLE software this Thursday (May 13) at 6PM, in Engineering IV 57-124. We will be learning how to create parts using EAGLE software, so please bring your laptops to this event. These events are very informative and worth your time, so hope to see you there!

Kayaking Social

Hey guys! There will be a kayaking social this Sunday, May 16, with specifics to come. Come out and meet your new officer team and take a break from all the rigors of academic life. If you're interested in going to the event, please message
ieee@ee.ucla.edu.

Professor of the Year Survey!

Please take a moment of your time to fill out this anonymous survey on who your professor of the year is! Go here! It shouldn't take very long.

Extra IEEE meetings!:

There are IEEE meetings sponsored by the Coastal Los Angeles COM-SPS-VTS chapter held on on May 10 at UCLA. Please see http://www.ewh.ieee.org/r6/lac/csspsvts/IEEE.html for more information. These meetings would be a great way to network and meet IEEE members outside of our student chapter.

Mini Project WEEK 8

A Mini-project will also be held during 8th week (next week)! We will be teaching students about a basic fire alarm circuit. Also, more details to come.

Inter-IEEE Bonfire!

There will be a bonfire at the end of week 9, Friday, May 28. The bonfire will also have students from USC, UCSD and UCI's respective IEEE groups. This would be an excellent opportunity to mix and mingle with students from outside universities.

Please make sure to mark these events on your calendars.
