Are you interested in serving the wider engineering student body of UCLA? Is there something you want to do to add to the current Electrical Engineering curriculum? Come to the first general meeting of Spring Quarter to learn more about the officer positions at UCLA IEEE.

Description:
SpaceX, or Space Exploration Technologies Corp, is a private space transport company based in Hawthorne, California. As the designer, manufacturer and operator of Falcon 1 & 9 launch vehicles and Dragon spacecrafts, SpaceX is the first private company to successfully deliver a cargo payload to the International Space Station. Besides its contact with NSASA, SpaceX is alos collaborating with other public and private entities, such as delivering low orbit satellites. UCLA IEEE is currently discussing with SpaceX regarding a Tech talk event on campus in the coming quarter. More details will be available in the near future.

Delphi Malibu Opportunity
Description:
Delphi is a leading global supplier of electronics and technologies for automotive, commercial vehicle and other market segments. Operating major technical centers, manufacturing sites and customer support facilities in 32 countries, Delphi delivers automotive parts to all forms of vehicles.

Currently, Delphi at Malibu is looking for an individual who has experience in LabView. Ideally, the applicant has experience in developing LabView program for USB-6008. MyDAQ experience is welcomed as well.

IEEE Computer Society/Moverio Contest
Description:
IEEE CS Society is hosting a competition via video reply and is asking participants to pitch them the “next generation” application ideas for Moverio BT-100, an Android based high resolution see-through display with Wi-Fi connectivity. More information on Moverio BT-100 can be found here.
The contest entry date starts on January 1st 2013 and ends on April 30th, 2013. Official rules of the contest can be found here. One grand prize of $8,000 and 3 honorable Mention Prizes of $2,000/each will be given. All winners will also be given a Moverio BT-100 unit.
