    Freescale Semiconductor is one of the leading designer and producer of embedded processing solutions, with a focus in automotive, consumer, industrial and networking markets. Its products range from microprocessors to analog ICs and connectivity.

    Lockheed Martin Lobby Day*

    Description:
    Lockheed Martin is one of the largest leading global aerospace, defense, security and advanced technology company. Its products range from F-22 Raptors, Aegis Combat System, Mars Phoenix Lander, and Falcon HTV-2 that travels through Earth’s atmosphere at Mach 20. Beside the defense and aerospace related products, Lockheed Martin is also cultivating its capabilities in fields ranging from renewable energy to life sciences. More information can be found here.

    Lockheed Martin will be hosting its Lobby Day, a day of technology exhibits, demonstrations, and presentations showcasing the wide range of opportunities Lockheed Martin has to offer, on Monday of Fifth Week.

    Description:
    Interested in working for one of the largest defense, aerospace and advance technology company in the world?  Lockheed Martin, the company behind C-130 Hercules, the Mars Odyssey and more, will be hosting an information session on Tuesday of Fifth Week.

    At the information session, Lockheed representatives will be introducing the company, its mission and its people. In addition, the company is currently looking for college students and graduates in areas such as computer science and electrical engineering. So remember to bring your resume.

    UCLA IEEE Halloween Mixer/Mini Project

    Description:
    What should Halloween be for an engineering student who finished the first round of midterms? Should it be free food that takes up table after table? Candies measured not by the handful but by the pumpkin full? A mini project to keep your engineering spirit high after a barrage of midterms? Come to the IEEE Halloween Mixer and enjoy all of them. There will be costumes, music, pumpkin carving and celebration of a day where dressing up as Master Chief is to be praised. Remember; wake him when you need him.

    Description:

    2.
    UCLA Rocket Project (URP)
    Description:
    UCLA Rocket Project is a student led project aimed at constructing and launching a hybrid fuel rocket at the Intercollegiate Rocket Engineering Competition in June 2013. For more information, please click here. The project is currently looking for EE or CS students to assist with FPGA-based rocket launch and data acquisition system. Students will be provided with LabVIEW (and the required hardware). 

    Previous FPGA/microprocessor programming or LabView experience   is preferred. Those without the experience and are willing to learn are more than welcome as well. No rocket experienced required.

    2013 KPCB Engineering Fellows Program
    Description
    KPCB (Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers) is a venture capital firm located in Silicon Valley. This fellows program was launched this year beginning with summer of 2013.

    KPCB Engineering Fellows Program is a summer work-based program that pairs top U.S. students with innovative startup companies in Silicon Valley. KCPCB fellows will develop their technical abilities through paid employment and mentorship by engineering executives within a startup company. Fellows will also be invited to exclusive events hosted by KPCB-funded companies and network with companies such as Zynga, Twitter, and Square to complement the work   experience.

    KPCB anticipates having 25 KPCB fellows for the summer 2013 program, so the space is limited.  Application period opens on Oct. 1st, 2012, and the deadline for submission is 11:59 PDT on October. 31, 2012.
