The seminar’s speakers. Mr. Jack and Mrs. Maureen Chen both came from technical background and proceeded to start and build their own companies. Mr. Jack Chen is an electrical engineering for seven years before changing track to open his own supply management company. Mrs. Maureen Chen is a computer science major who runs her own software company.
The seminar is a combined-topics seminar that will cover engineering, management, international business, trade, and supply chains. Through this seminar, one can begin to see how engineers can become successful as entrepreneurs within the world of business.

JPL Mars Rover Talk and LA & OC IEEE Society Expo

Description:

Curiosity is latest and largest Mars Rover (a “Mini-Cooper” on six wheels) carrying advanced science equipment (including a Mars Rock Laser Pulverizer) and has been exploring a young Martian crater.
This Expo is dedicated to the engineering, scientific results and data to-date of the Martian rover. Demonstration includes models such as curiosity landing site scale model, hardware and mock-ups. The feature speaker is the lead NASA-JPL Curiosity Mission Engineer, Mr. Charles Baker. At the expo, several Los Angeles and Orange County professional societies will be present, such as: Planetary Society, IEEE, AIAA, SWE, FSEA, IET, OCVitalLink, INCOSE.
This event is free of charge (no parking and admission fees) and free bottled water and healthy snacks will be provided. Please RSVP as soon as possible. This event is sponsored by IEEE-OC Aerospace & Electronics Systems Society (AESS) and IEEE-OC Computer Society (OCCS). This event is also an LA-OC STEM Outreach Event, so high school and college students are most welcome.
