2. | S-PAVe (Student Professional Awareness Venture) |

Description: | The topic of our S-PAVe will be focused mainly on Career Growth, and the advancement of careers in the workplace. This can range from recognizing the importance of grad school and certifications, or other topics such as switching from technical positions to management. We will have experienced, noteworthy speakers, workshops related to Career Growth, and technical demos from companies on display. Food will be provided, and networking possibilities with companies will be available. We will be tabling outside SEAS Lab on the 4th floor during weeks 2 and 3. We strongly encourage you to register as early as possible. Registration is free for week 2 and $5 for week 3. |

Description: | If you want to challenge yourself by writing a theme paper, check out the IEEE BME Biotech Student Competition at USC. The student shall present a brief overview of the basic concept, either a totally new idea or a conceptual modification to an existing item or system, by using Biomedical, and/or Biochemical, Electrical, Electronic, or related techniques to assist a persons’ disability or to improve a persons’ ability to manage tasks that usually require assistance. If interested, please email to Dr. Chris Druzgalski at druz@ieee.org. Include the following information: Name and address of the participant, tentative area or anticipated title of the entry. Awards: $1,000 (First Place), $500 (Second) and $200 (Third and Fourth Place) |
