Navy Infosession

Hey everyone!


Navy Infosession

There will be a Navy Infosession today, now at Boelter 3400! The time will still remain the same at 6PM. Please come by with any questions you might have for the Navy.

The US Navy is looking for Engineers!!!!!!!

Nuclear Propulsion Officer Candidate (NUPOC) Program

  • Earn up to $135,000 while in college (5k/month)

Weekly Announcements

Hey everyone,


IEEE General Meeting

We'll have another general meeting next week, with our Internship Panel workshop being held during the meeting. This is a good time to hear from fellow students and their experiences on the entire internship process. Come with any questions you might have about internships! Also come hungry, because there will be food there. Yay!


Kayaking Social!

If any members are interested in meeting the new officer team and hanging out in their spare time, please let us know by emailing us at ieee@ee.ucla.edu! We're planning the event to be held on a Saturday, 6th-7th week, but this is probably subject to change. Please let us know!


Navy Infosession


There will be a Navy Infosession held on Wednesday, April 28th at 6 PM! Location will be 57-124 in Engineering IV. Pizza and refreshments will be served. Come and meet the recruiters from the Navy and hear all about what they do!


Mini-Projects

- There will be a PCB Prototyping Tutorial with EAGLE software next Thursday (subject to change) at 6PM. More details to come.
- A Mini-project will also be held during 8th week! We will be teaching students about a basic fire alarm circuit. Also, more details to come.


There's going to be lots of events, so make sure to come out! Until then, goodluck with midterms.

IEEE General Meeting!

Hey everyone!

General Meeting on Tuesday, April 20 at 6PM in Engineering IV, 67-124 (lovingly known as the Faraday Room). Things to do at this general meeting: talk, eat, have an icebreaker, socialize & mingle, and... meet your IEEE officers for 2010-2011! So stop by for the changing of the guard this Tuesday!

Also, don't forget - there's a Phi Sigma Rho Laser Tag Tournament Sunday(today) at 12PM til 4PM at Sunset Rec!

Laser Tag this Sunday at Sunset Rec!

Last meeting we talked about the Laser Tag Philanthropy event Phi Sigma Rho sorority is holding this Sunday at Sunset Rec. Is anyone interested in forming a team?

What: Laser Tag Tournament (philanthropy event benefiting the American Cancer Society)
When: April 18, noon - 4pm
Where: Sunset Rec
Who: 10 people/team
Fee: $15/person

There will be: Music, Food, and FUN!

Broomball

Just a reminder! There's UCLA-USC Broomball this weekend!!

So the actual event for broomball is 6:15 - 7:15 PM on Saturday, April 3rd, but meet in front of Ackerman turnaround at 4:45 PM if you require transportation to the Pasadena ice rink. MAKE SURE TO RSVP to ieee@ee.ucla.edu if you'd like to attend, and if you're capable of providing rides, please state so! Remember guys, it's THIS SATURDAY. Bring your friends along even if they aren't members, because as of now, this event is free to everyone! Now that nobody has an excuse not to, come out and let's destroy U$C IEEE together! (in broomball only, of course.)
